Less Than a Day After Ankle Bracelet Removed, Politoski Rearrested

Only hours after having her electronic ankle monitor removed, a 20-year-old woman was arrested for battering a man with a vodka bottle and coffee mug.
Jordann Politoski, of Plover, had just finish serving 30 days on an ankle monitor after being charged with several crimes in 2015. She was convicted in March after pleading guilty to two counts of misdemeanor battery, one count of resisting or obstructing an officer, misdemeanor bail jumping and possession of amphetamines.
Several other charges against her — two additional counts of battery, three counts of disorderly conduct and four counts of bail jumping — were dismissed but read into the record.
At her plea hearing for those charges on March 31, Judge Thomas Flugaur imposed and stayed a six-month jail sentence, and Politoski served 30 days on the ankle bracelet. According to court documents, Politoski also presented the court with a certificate indicating she had completed a relapse prevention group program.
Her ankle bracelet was removed the afternoon of May 30; she was arrested again in the early morning hours of May 31.
District Attorney Louise Molepske requested a $5,000 signature bond at Politoski’s bail hearing on Tuesday. Judge Thomas Eagon instead gave her a $1,000 signature bond, which Politoski signed on June 1.
According to Molepske, Politoski is now accused of substantial battery after hitting a man over the head with a vodka bottle.
“And then after that, she decides to hit him over the head again and knocks him out with a coffee mug, allegedly,” Molepske said. The man required “multiple stitches”, he added.
According to Molepske, Politoski is suspected of being intoxicated at the time of her arrest.
Molepske said he’s already drafted the new complaint against Politoski and expects to bring new charges including second degree recklessly endangering safety, substantial battery — intend bodily harm and disorderly conduct.
She is scheduled to return to court for her initial appearance on June 13.
