Allen E. Lundgren

Allen Ernest Lundgren, 83, Cannon Falls, Minn., a former
Amherst and Whiting resident, died Monday, June 6, 2016, at Three Links Care
Center in Northfield, Minn.


A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 17,
at First English Lutheran Church in Cannon Falls, Minn. Interment with military
honors will be at the Cannon Falls Cemetery.


Visitation will be at the church from 1 p.m. Friday until
the service.


Memorials are preferred in his name to the Alzheimer’s
Association at www.alz.org/donate.


Lundberg Funeral Home in Cannon Falls, Minn., assisted with
arrangements. Condolences may be offered online at www.lundbergfuneral.com.


Mr. Lundgren was born Nov. 3, 1932, in Iron Mountain, Mich.,
a son of the late Verner W. and Emma A. (Peterson) Lundgren. In his youth, he
was a member of the Nelsonville Evangelical Lutheran Church. He graduated from
Amherst High School in 1950.


He attended the University of Wisconsin Business College.


He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and was
honorably discharged in 1955.


He was married to Anne P. Holm June 28, 1958, in Madison.
She preceded him in death.


He was a salesman of farm equipment, working for P & D
until the early 1980s. He later was employed at Rochester Silo, where he sold
retaining walls in to the early 1990s.


He was a member of the Masonic Oriental Lodge 34 in Cannon
Falls, Minn.


Survivors include two children, Dean (Heidi) Lundgren,
Cannon Falls, Minn., and Susanne (Dennis) Lambert, Bloomington, Minn.; one sister,
Helen (Clarence) Brockman, Elizabethtown, Pa.; one sister-in-law, Myrtle
Lundgren, Modesto, Calif.; and five grandchildren.


He was also preceded in death by one brother, Dale Lundgren;
and one sister, Virginia Shaw.
