Gold Coaches Association Honor Four Panther Athletes for Academics

Four SPASH students have been named Academic All-State by the Golf Coaches Association of Wisconsin (GCAW).
Charlie Okray, Max Bancker, Taylor Thomas and Jake Hofmeister of Stevens Point Area Senior High are Academic All-State honoree for the current boys’ golf season.
Students must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.25, participate at least 75 percent of their team’s varsity matches and are at least a sophomore in high school.
A record 383 boys from 122 high schools were honored this year for maintaining high academic standards in the classroom while competing in varsity golf.
Thomas and Hofmeister both earned a High Honors designation for maintaining a GPA of 3.75 or higher.
