Ian D. Yenter, 27, Dickinson, N.D., formerly of Chetek and
grandson of an Amherst couple and a Scandinavia woman, died Sunday, June 5,
2016, at Avera McKennon Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D., following an automobile
accident.


Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday June 11, at
Scandinavia Lutheran Church, 105 Church St., Scandinavia. Interment of cremains
will be in the Scandinavia Lutheran Cemetery.


Visitation will be at the Voie Funeral Home in Iola from 4
to 8 p.m. Friday, June 10, and at the church from 9 a.m. Saturday until the
services.

Mr. Yenter was born Aug. 29, 1988, a son of Bryan and Sara
(Jensen) Yenter.


He attended the University of Wisconsin-Platteville where he
was a member of the track and field team, participating in the decathlon and
pole vault.


Survivors include his fiancée, Lara Joseph; one daughter,
Ehvy Lu, 21 months; his parents, Bryan and Sara Yenter, Dickinson, N.D.; one sister,
Emily, Platteville; his paternal grandparents, Joan Yenter and Tony Yenter,
Amherst; and his maternal grandmother, Lenore Jensen, Scandinavia.


He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Henry
Jensen.
