Elizabeth J. Sitko

Elizabeth J. “Betty” “Elsie” Sitko, 71, Mosinee, a Stevens Point native, died Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at Stoney River Assisted Living in Weston while under the care of Ministry Hospice Services.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 18, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Peplin, with the Rev. James Arthur officiating. Burial will be at St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Peplin.
Visitation will be at Beste Funeral Home in Mosinee from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 17, and at the church from 9 a.m. Saturday until the services.

Mrs. Sitko was born Oct. 18, 1944, in Stevens Point, the
only child of the late Edward and Rose (Kawleski) Stepaniak. She graduated from
Maria High School in Stevens Point in 1962.
She was married to Lawrence Sitko June 20, 1964, at St.
Peter Catholic Church in Stevens Point.
Her career included secretarial work at Sentry Insurance in
Stevens Point and Wausau/Mosinee Paper in Mosinee, and in retirement at the
Mosinee Chamber of Commerce. She also prepared the weekly bulletins for St.
John the Baptist Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Susan (Darrin)
Walkowski, and Sharon (Rodney) Baumann; two brothers-in-law, Conrad Sitko and
Daniel (Pam) Sitko; one sister-in-law, Elizabeth Sitko; and three grandsons.
