Stevens Point Fire and EMS crews responded to an early morning call Thursday after someone reported seeing smoke at a business on the north end of Division Street.

An employee of Advance Pain Management, 200 Division St., reported smoke had filled the office’s operating room at 6:45 AM, according to Lt. Paul Mattlin at the SPFD.

One ladder truck and two EMS vehicle were on the scene, along with Stevens Point police blocking off the parking lot in front of the business.

Employees were safely evacuated and crews on the scene reported no one was injured.

Wisconsin Public Service was also on the scene. No word yet on the cause of the smoke, or if flames were visible inside the building.

Crews were on the scene for a little over two hours. The cause of the incident is still being investigated.
