Dorothy C. Flisakowski

Dorothy C. Flisakowski, 80, Stevens Point, died Thursday, June 16, 2016, at Ministry St. Michael’s Hospital.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 20, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Stevens Point, with the Rev. Arul Joseph Visuvasam officiating. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery.
Visitation will be at Pisarski Funeral Home in Stevens Point from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, June 19, and in the St. Faustina Room of the church from 9:30 a.m. Monday until the Mass. St. Peter’s Rosary Society will pray the rosary at 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Flisakowski was born Aug. 1, 1935, in Wausau, a
daughter of the late Edward and Verna (Yach) Wanta. She attended St. Peter Grade
School and P.J. Jacobs High School.
She was married to Emil Flisakowski Feb. 19, 1955, at St.
Peter Catholic Church in Stevens Point. He died Nov. 29, 1981.
She was a babysitter for more than 30 years for numerous
families in Stevens Point, was a member of the St. Peter’s Rosary Society Rose
8 for 50 years, and was a Cub Scout den mother for Troop 290 and also a Girl
Scout leader.
Survivors include two daughters, Cynthia (Michael) Kosobucki
and Valerie (Jerry) Yach, both of Stevens Point; one son, Randy (Joyce)
Flisakowski, Amherst Junction; one sister, Delores (Clarence) Guzman, Stevens
Point; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Edward.
