Robert R. “Wink” Winkler, 71, Mosinee, a Stevens Point native and father of three Portage County residents, died Friday June 17, 2016, at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 22, at the Pisarski Funeral Home in Stevens Point. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery in Stevens Point.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. Wednesday until the services.

Mr. Winkler was born Aug. 1, 1944, in Stevens Point, a son
of the late Stanley and Irene (Chapman) Winkler. He attended local grade
schools and graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in 1963.

He was married to Rose Diercks Nov. 27, 1965, at St. Peter
Catholic Church. The couple later divorced.

He worked for Consolidated Papers Wisconsin River Division
for a number of years.

After working at Consolidated, he became an independent painter,
especially of cars, for a number of years.

Survivors include three daughters, Lisa Winkler, Junction
City, Shelly (Dennis) Higgins, Plover, and Rhonda (George) Heeres, Stevens
Point; one brother, David (Diane) Winkler, Stevens Point; three sisters, Gracie
(Bob) Byczynski, Stevens Point, Virginia Drefcinski, Zephyrhills, Fla., and
Kathy Framness, Elizabeth, Ky.; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
