Florence C. Lein

Florence C. Lein, 85, Blue Earth, Minn., mother of a Stevens
Point woman, died Tuesday, June 21, 2016, due to complications from Parkinson’s
disease.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June
25, at Hope United Methodist Church in Blue Earth, Minn., with the Rev. Russ
Jacobsen officiating.
Visitation will be at Patton Funeral Home in Blue Earth,
Minn., from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 24, and at the church from 9:30 a.m.
Saturday until the service.

Mrs. Lein was born March 31, 1931, in Benson, Minn., the
oldest daughter of 13 children of the late Chester and Leona (Maus) Jones. The
family lived on a farm in Benson, Minn., and later moved to Remer, Minn., while
she was in high school. She stayed in Benson and graduated from Benson High
School.
She worked at a bank in Benson after high school.
She was married to Loren B. Lein March 7, 1953, in Benson,
Minn. They were married for 59 years until his death June 18, 2012.
The couple first lived in Watson, Minn., where she worked at
the Watson Bank and her husband farmed. They moved to Fort Hood, Texas, while
her husband served in the U.S. Army.
Following his service, they made their
home in Blue Earth, Minn., and she stayed home with the children until they
entered school.
She worked with her husband in the State Farm Insurance
office and also in the Blue Earth Public Schools as a teacher’s aide.
She was active in the Jaycees, Christians Women’s Club,
served as the Blue Earth Welcome Wagon Representative, 4-H Leader, Cub Scout
Leader, Sunday School and Release Time teacher.
She moved to St. Luke’s Lutheran Care Center in 2014.
Survivors include one daughter, Renae Sheibley, Stevens
Point; one son, David (Cindy) Lein, Winnebago, Minn.; eight siblings Fern
(Donald) Hendrickson, Lily Jones, Sharon Brierly, Debra Battleson, Chester
(Georgia) Jones, Richard (Diane) Jones, Stanley Jones and David (Deb) Jones;
and four grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by four siblings, Clarice
Tanberg, Neva Lewis, Linda Jones and Robert “Bob” Jones.
