Drohner named co-Player of Year, SPASH lands five on All-State

The WIAA Division 1 State Champion Stevens Point Area Senior
High School (SPASH) softball team had five players named to the Wisconsin
Fastpitch Softball Coaches Association (WFSCA) All-State Team, as junior
pitcher Aubrey Drohner was named the WFSCA Division 1 co-Player of the Year.


Drohner hit .485 this season with 41 runs scored, four
triples, five home runs, 49 RBI, 16 walks and five strikeouts, while she also
went 25-2 with a 1.50 ERA, 41 walks and 139 strikeouts in 168 and 1/3 innings
this season. She was named the Division 1 co-Player of the Year along with
Watertown junior pitcher Elle Jensen, who the Panthers beat 16-4 in the WIAA
Division 1 State Championship Game.


Drohner and sophomore center fielder Ally Miklesh were both
named First Team All-State, after Miklesh hit .440 this season with 43 runs
scored, five doubles, four triples and 18 stolen bases.


Senior catcher Jordan Kawlewski and senior third baseman
Shaylee Kluck were both Second Team All-State and senior first baseman Payton
Gaber was Third Team All-State for the Panthers.


Kawlewski hit .432 with 34 runs scored, seven doubles and 24
RBI; Kluck hit .422 with 27 runs scored, eight doubles, four home runs and 40
RBI; and Gaber hit .407 with 22 runs scored, six doubles, six home runs and 28
RBI.


Pacelli High School junior pitcher Brook Nagorski was also
named Third Team All-State, after the Cardinals finished 20-4 this season.
