Elaine C. (Good Girl) Kruzitski

Elaine Kruzitski age 76, of Plover, passed away peacefully at Whispering Pines Assisted Living on Saturday June 25, 2016.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Elaine will be held on Thursday June 30 at 10:30 AM at St. Bronislava Catholic Church in Plover. Rev. Dan Oudenhoven officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday.

A general rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home at the Shuda Funeral Home in Plover and again on Thursday from 9:30 – 10:15 AM at St. Bronislava Church. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery.

Elaine was born on July 1, 1939 in Stevens Point to Carroll “Kelly” and Grace “Marion” (Grant) Dakins.

She graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School. Her marriage to John Kruzitski took place on May 23, 1959 at St. Mary’s Mt. Carmel in Custer. He preceded her in death on Feb. 22, 1999. She worked for the Stevens Point school system as a cook for many years before her and her husband opened Johnnie & Elaines in Arnott which they operated from 1970 to 1976 when they moved the business to Plover.

Elaine loved doing puzzles, socializing, crafts, gardening, and occasional trips to the casino.

She is survived by 3 daughters: Dawn (Gerard) Sankey, Plover; Debra (Thomas) Kerchefski, Stevens Point; and Denise (Richard) Somers, Plover. Her mother Marion Dakins, Plover. 2 sisters La Vonne (Richard) Hanson, Plover & Karen (Paul) Pliska, Plover. Further survivors include Grandchildren Jamie (Becky Sopa) Sankey, Tommy (Jen) Kerchefski, Heather (Ryan) Schlutter, Keli (Nate Sutheimer) Somers, and Patti (Chad) Kramer. Great Grandchildren- Kyle & Clay Kerchefski, Cole Schlutter, Robert & Emily Kramer, and Emily Sutheimer.

Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her father, an infant brother, and a granddaughter.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Karen Trzebiatowski, her staff at Whispering Pines, and Whispering Pines Lodge for the excellent care of their mom.
