Local man graduates from U.S. Air Force Academy

Clayton Reid, son of Daniel and Marie Reid, Plainfield, and the grandson of James and Betty Burns, Almond, graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo., June 2 and was commissioned as a second lieutenant. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in aeronautical engineering.
While at the Academy, he served as a soaring instructor pilot for the glider program and was on the dean’s list all four years. Reid will be reporting to Vance Air Force Base in Oklahoma at the beginning of August to begin pilot training.
Reid is a 2012 graduate of Tri-County High School.
