Donna L. Berard, 83, Wisconsin Rapids, sister of a Junction
City woman, died Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at Atrium Post Acute Care in Wisconsin
Rapids.


Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 1, at
Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Wisconsin Rapids, with the Rev. Jim
Altman officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Wisconsin Rapids.


Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. Friday until
the Mass.


Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids assisted with
arrangements. Condolences may be offered online at www.ritchayfuneralhome.com.


Miss Berard was born April 2, 1933, in Wisconsin Rapids, a
daughter of the late Donald and Helen (Lang) Berard.


She was employed as a child-caregiver and worked at ODC, the
Swiss Chalet, Advance Janitorial and Taco John’s, all in Wisconsin Rapids.


She was active with many clubs in the Wisconsin Rapids area
and was a long time member of Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church and its
church choir. In recent years she became a Proclaimed Franciscan.


After retiring, she volunteered at Family Heritage and
Riverview Manor (Wisconsin Rapids Care Center). She was a member of the Senior
Belles & Beaus.


Survivors include two sisters, Kathleen (Lee) Borski,
Junction City, and Patricia (Bob) Hess, Green Bay; one half-brother, Jim (Judy)
Plahmer, Wisconsin Rapids; one goddaughter, Peggy (Doug) Wettstein, Nekoosa; and
two aunts, Louise Egland, Nekoosa, and Marion (Bill) Wittenberg, Wisconsin
Rapids.


She was also preceded in death by her birth mother, Alice
(Neil) Plahmer.
