Three men are facing multiple felony charges after a search of their home revealed evidence of drug trafficking including marijuana, LSD and MDMA.

Shawn Garrett, 20, faces multiple felony charges including possession with intent to deliver LSD which carries a maximum sentence of up to a $25,000 fine, or 10 years imprisonment or both if convicted. Charges including maintaining a drug trafficking place and possession with intent to deliver THC each have a sentence of up to a $10,000 fine, three years and six months imprisonment or both.

Phillip Hummell, 20, is also charged with maintaining a drug trafficking place. Jayson Pfister, 21, faces the same charge as well as possession with intent to deliver THC.

All three defendants made their initial appearance in Portage Co. Circuit Court on June 27.

According to court documents, the Central Wisconsin Drug Task Force — including Stevens Point police and Portage Co. deputies — executed a search warrant at a home on the 1800 block of College Ave. at 7:00 AM on March 17. When they entered, officers encountered six individuals including the three defendants.

When officers searched Garrett’s bedroom they uncovered 14 baggies of marijuana, a bong, tin foil containing LSD, digital scales, a rubber slick and $470 in cash. Garrett admitted to officers that the items found belonged to him, but said he didn’t see himself as a drug dealer, rather he was just “helping out his friends and not hurting anyone”. He also reported having paid someone else $2,700 to purchase a pound of marijuana.

When searching Pfister’s bedroom, police uncovered LSD, mescaline, MDMA, sometimes known as “molly”, and marijuana. He admitted to selling drugs from the home along with Garrett but said the LSD, mescaline and molly were for his personal use.

Hummell’s room was found to contain marijuana and a pipe. He said he got his drugs from Garrett and Pfister, who reportedly began selling in December, 2015. He also reports his friends contact him for drugs, but said he typically refers them to Garrett and Pfister.

Garrett is currently free in a $2,000 signature bond and returns to court on July 11 at 3:00 PM for a preliminary hearing.

Pfister is free on a $1,000 signature bond and Hummell a $1,500 signature bond. They both return to court on July 18 at 3:00 PM for their preliminary hearings.
