Ronald J. Werachowski
Ronald Jerome Werachowski, 85, Stevens Point, died Wednesday, July 8, 2016, at Ministry St. Michael’s Hospital.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, at St. Mary Immaculate Conception Parish in Custer, with the Rev. Greg Michaud officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Plover-Shuda Funeral Home in Plover from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, with a general rosary at 7 p.m., and at the church from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Wednesday.

Mr. Werachowski was born Jan. 12, 1931, in Cook County, Ill.,
a son of the late Jerome and Gertrude (Cisewski) Werachowski. As a child they
moved to Stevens Point, and he graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in 1950.
He served in the U.S. Air Force, joining the service in
March of 1951. He served in the Air Police and was stationed at Forbes Air
Force Base in Topeka, Kan. He was honorably discharged from the reserves as a
staff sergeant in October 1963.
He was married to Ruth Pieczynski Nov. 10, 1951.
They owned and operated Ronnie’s Bar in Arnott, and he
worked as a pressman at Worzalla Publishing for 28 years until his retirement.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth; two sons, Tony (Bonnie)
and Jeff (Debra); three daughters, Judy (Charlie) Sanke, Michele (Wally)
Bieniewski and Lisa (Jerome) Firkus; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by two sons, Rick and Mikey;
one sister, Barbara Adamski; one daughter-in-law, Marilyn; and one grandson.
