Plover Fastpitch 13’s Win the 2016 Greenville Fastpitch Tournament

The Plover Fastpitch 13’s Nationals won the 2016 Greenville Fastpitch Tournament, July 8-10, at the Greenville Community Park in Greenville, Wis.

The girls went an impressive 5-0 to claim the tournament’s 14U championship, bringing them a 23-6 record in the 2016 tourney season.

In pool play, the Plover 13’s beat Wis. Heights 10-0 and Suburban Athletics 13-0..

As the No. 1 seed in bracket play, Plover beat Wis. Heights 5-1, then Shawano in the semi-final game 8-2.

In the championship game, the Plover 13’s won over Surburban Athletics 17-7 to win the 14U championship.

Team Pitching: 2.50 ERA, 34 Strikeouts, Opponent Batting Ave .162

The Plover Fastpitch 13’s roster includes #5 Ashlyn Chandler; #17 Jenna Eilers; #13 Olivia Schustek; #34 Madi Hintz; #27 Haley Raflik; #22 Erica Pronschinske; #12 Hannah Melum; #10 Jenna Hoerter; #14 Kennedy VanderLoop; #11 Jaden Jones; and #00 Maddie Kvatek.

The Plover Fastpitch 13’s are coached by Todd VanderLoop, John Jones, Nate Schustek, Shawn Eilers and Scott Chandler.
