Bobby H. Kuehl, 80

flagBobby H. Kuehl, age 80 of Plover, Wis., passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully at home on Friday, July 8.

He was born April 25, 1936 in Madison, Wis. to Hugo and Corella Kuehl. He married Evelyn (VanDreel/Moen) in 1985.

Bob graduated from Madison East High School in 1954. He then enlisted in the U.S. Air Force where he served 20 years, ending his career as a recruiter in Stevens Point. Bob was a member of VFW Post 10262, and he proudly participated in the Badger Honor Flight in April 2016, accompanied by his son, John. He worked as an oiler at Port Edwards Paper Company until his retirement in 2001.

Bob is survived by his wife, Evelyn of 31 years, his three children, Cheryl (Mark) Henry of Cottage Grove, Wis., James (Kim Gilligan) of Watertown, Wis., and John (Dodi) Kuehl of McFarland, Wis., sisters Shirley Fair of Yuma, Ariz., and Beverly Read of Huntersville, NC.

He is further survived by 2 grandchildren, Lindsay (Ryan) Lamb, Melissa (Matthew) Wiswell, 6 step-children, Kari (Paul) Stroik, Peggy (Billy) Schleizer, Sarah (Brian) Brillowski, Jeff (Pam) VanDreel, Marcia (Larry) Sheveland, Von VanDreel, 11 step grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his best friend and partner in crime, Scott Halverson, Stevens Point.

A memorial service for Bob will be held at the Plover Funeral Home, 2400 Plover Rd on Saturday, July 23. Visitation will occur from 9:00-10:30 AM, with a Plover VFW ritual at 10:15. A service will follow immediately, with full military honors. The family requests that people wear Packer attire to the memorial.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged to the Badger Honor Flight, Inc.
