James Paul Beck, 86, Stevens Point, a longtime insurance
underwriter, died Sunday, July 17, 2016, at Ministry St. Michael’s Hospital in
Stevens Point.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday,
July 28, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church of Holy Spirit Parish, with the Rev
Thomas Lindner officiating. Burial will be at Guardian Angel Cemetery.


Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. Thursday until
the Mass.


Shuda Funeral Homes & Crematory in Stevens Point and
Plover assisted with arrangements. Condolences may be offered online at
www.shudafuneral.com.


Mr. Beck was born Oct 16, 1929, in Dorchester, a son of the
late Albert and Caroline (Hutter) Beck. He attended Dorchester area elementary
schools and graduated from Dorchester High School in 1947.


He was married to Bernice Wilke in 1948.


They moved to Stevens Point where he attended the University
of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.


He graduated from Purdue University in Lafayette, Ind., from
the Fraternal Agency Management Program.


He worked for Catholic Family Life Insurance for 42 years.


Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Bernice; three children,
Sandra Gaetz, Stevens Point, Sharon (Rhody) Jakusz, Rhinelander, and Donna
Trzinski, Savage, Mont.; one sister, Betty Marolt, Aspen, Colo.; 11
grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.


He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Caroline Hazen
and Buelah Poskie; and three brothers,
Albert, Anthony “Tony”
and Myron “Mike” Beck.
