The suspect in a July 13 stabbing has been arrested by Plover police and now faces attempted first-degree intentional homicide charges.
Dylan Carver, 15, is expected to be charged as an adult after allegedly stabbing his 60-year-old grandmother. He was in Portage Co. Circuit Court on July 15.
The extent of the woman’s injuries was not immediately available.
Portage Co. District Attorney Louis Molepske said he also expected to charge Carver with theft and operation of a motor vehicle without consent, according to court records.
Plover police say they responded to a home on the 3000 block of Haga Dr. at about 7 PM last Wednesday after a caller reported the stabbing. Investigators remained on the scene until about 2 AM the following morning.
Lt. Ryan Fox from Plover Police Dept. said investigators from Stevens Point Police Dept. assisted with the investigation, and deputies from the Portage Co. Sheriff’s Office assisted by searching “various areas of the county” for the boy.
He was later located in Wausau and taken into custody by police there.
Carver is being held on a $100,000 cash bond. His next court date has not yet been scheduled.
