Carl D’s Soft Serve sees a heavy customer load on July 19.
The business is celebrating its first anniversary on Saturday after opening last year.
Along with its soft serve neighbor Belts’, the business has partnered with the Stevens Point Police Department for a new positive reinforcement program, which begins this week.
During the promotion, young bicyclists “caught” by the police following safety rules will be rewarded with a coupon for free soft serve from either Carl D’s or Belts’. According to SPPD, Carl D’s and Belts’ donated about $600 worth of free ice cream to the program.
Carl D’s is located at 1232 Park Street.
