Despite No Tips, Arrest Made in Downtown Brawl

An arrest has been made in the June 5 bar time assault which occurred in downtown Stevens Point.
David A. Perry, 27, of Wisconsin Rapids was taken into custody and will be charged with substantial battery, according to Stevens Point police.
Despite several witnesses on the scene who appeared to be videotaping the incident with cell phones, police say they received no tips following a citywide call for further information from bystanders.
Assistant Police Chief Tom Zenner said there were two brawls on the downtown square which occurred simultaneously, and appeared to be connected.
