Camille “Connie” Janquart Lemire, 99, Marinette, mother of two Stevens Point women, died Friday, July 22, 2016, at the Luther Home in Marinette.

A Funeral Mass will be offered at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 27, in Holy Family Parish-Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Marinette, with the Rev. Celestine Byekwaso officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Menominee.

Visitation will be at Hansen-Onion-Martell Funeral Home from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, with a parish prayer vigil at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Mrs. Lemire was born June 30, 1917, in Marinette, a daughter
of the late Joseph and Vina (Premo) Smith. She spent her early life in
Marinette and was a graduate of the former St. Joseph School.

She was first married to Joseph Janquart June 26, 1937. He died
in June 1976.

She was later married to Harold Lemire Sept. 26, 1983. He
died in August 2012.

For many years she was employed as a waitress, including at
the Silver Dome and later the Dodge Inn in Marinette.

She was a past-president of the Eagle’s Auxiliary in
Menominee.

She was also active in her faith as a member of the Legion
of Mary, the St. Anne Sodality and as a Eucharist Minister at Holy Family
Parish.

She volunteered for the Senior Companions Program, Foster
Grandparents and for years in area nursing homes.

Survivors include four children, Roger (Jean) Janquart,
Surprise, Ariz., Judie Janquart and Regina “Gina” (Ed) Buda, both of Stevens
Point, and Brian Janquart, Marinette; one daughter-in-law, Mary Janquart; six
grandchildren, including Eric Buda and Ryan Buda; 11 great-grandchildren; four
stepchildren, Harold (Karen) Lemire, Darold (Jenny) Lemire, Karen (Roger)
Kriedeman and Cindy (Terry) Doran; nine grandstepchildren and 18 great-stepgrandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by five brothers, one sister
and one grandson.
