Letter: Trump trumps Clinton for President

To the Editor-
My husband and I just moved here from Illinois. We have been reading the articles about people deciding not to vote.
As one writer mentioned we had several Republican candidates but not in our wildest dreams would we have thought Donald Trump would be last man standing. We don’t agree with him and didn’t vote for him in the Illinois primary. However, in our opinion he is somewhat better than Hillary Clinton. She has problems such as how she handled classified e-mails, the “What does it Matter Now” Benghazi attack, the questionable fundraising for Clinton Foundation…the list seems endless.
Can we trust and believe what she says? Remember Bill Clinton and all his scandals and near removal from office after impeachment? Can Hillary run a transparent administration? Can we survive another four or eight years of continuing the Obama administration? We must vote for Trump so Clinton doesn’t become president.
We would like to go back to a safer USA (closed borders and immigration vetting laws), economical (more jobs & less dependency on government programs), veterans taken better care of and getting serious about the ISIS problem. Trump has a better chance of correcting some of these issues but not Clinton.
Do not remain silent when November 4th comes around, exercise your right to vote.
