Clara R. Gorka, 88, Kronenwetter, a Stevens Point native, died Sunday, July 24, 2016.

Services were held Thursday, July 28, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Knowlton, with the Rev. James Arthur officiating. Burial was in St. Francis Cemetery in Knowlton.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 28, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Knowlton, with the Rev. James Arthur officiating. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery in Knowlton.

Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. Thursday until the services.

Beste Funeral Home in Mosinee assisted with arrangements. Condolences
may be offered online at www.bestefh.com.

Mrs. Gorka was born April 30, 1928, in Stevens Point, a daughter
of the late Jacob and Stella (Gill) Stachura. She was a graduate of P.J. Jacobs
High School in Stevens Point.

She was married to Frank Gorka Aug. 9, 1947, at St. Francis
Xavier Catholic Church in Knowlton. He died April 28, 1999.

She worked as a waitress at Antlers Supper Club at Lake
DuBay and the Airport Restaurant in Mosinee for 40 years.

Survivors include four sons, Donald (Carrie), Hayward, Randy
(Shirley) Gorka, Joe (Candy) Gorka, and Rodney (Barbara) Gorka, all of Mosinee;
one daughter, Margaret “Peggy” (Greg) Van Price, Hawaii; two sisters, Barbara
Simonis and Monica Omernick; 12 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, Vincent
Stachura; and three sisters, Lucille, Elsie and Dorothy.
