Registration Open for Trivia Unplugged

For the City Times
CREATE Portage County, in partnership with Jim Oliva and 90FM, will hold its eighth annual Trivia Unplugged from 3 PM to 9 PM Saturday, Sept. 24 at the Noel Hangar in Stevens Point.
Tailgating starts at 1 p.m.
Trivia Unplugged is an old-school trivia contest created by Jim Oliva and John Eckendorf. Players are not allowed to use Internet, phones, books or notes to answer questions.
Quizmaster Jim ‘The Oz’ Oliva will host the event in partnership with the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point campus radio 90FM. The Mid-State Sisters of Skate roller derby team will collect trivia answers, and Rockman’s Catering will provide a cash bar and buffet food service for both players and spectators.
Registration for Trivia Unplugged is now open. Advance registration is $160 per team and $180 on the day of the event. Teams may have 10 members in the competition area and unlimited reserve players in the spectator area at the event. The total number of teams allowed to register is limited, therefore early registration is encouraged.
Registration forms can be found online at www.createportagecounty.org/experiences and must be postmarked no later than Sept. 22. Checks must be made payable to CREATE Portage County.
