Crews from the Stevens Point Public Works Department on July 27 dug a big hole on Reserve St.
The roadway was closed between Boyington and Lincoln avenues throughout the day on Wednesday so crews could repair a storm water drain located under the road surface. Similar activity has taken place on side streets throughout the city all summer, as part of regular utility maintenance, and rarely lasts longer than one day.
The road reopened at about 4 PM, not long before thunderstorms passed through.
