In a move to show support to local law enforcement, Fiternal CrossFit will be holding a special themed workout day on July 30.
Law Enforcement Work Out Day (WOD) begins at the gym, 19 Park Ridge Dr., at 8 AM. The event is open to the public and all skill levels are welcome.
“This is a social event along with a WOD; there will also be a short run on Sunset Avenue,” a news release from the gym reads in part. “The ultimate goal is to display community support towards local law enforcement in light of the increasing negativity our country is experiencing towards law enforcement.”
The Park Ridge Fire Dept., along with law enforcement from the Portage Co. Sheriff’s Office and Stevens Point and Plover police departments, will also be on site for the event.
All proceeds from the event will benefit K-9 programs at the Portage Co. Sheriff’s Office and Plover Police Dept.
