Gertrude F. Krutza, 92, Stevens Point, died Saturday, July 30, 2016, at North Haven Assisted Living Center while under the care of Heartland Hospice.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3, at St. Peter Catholic Church, with the Rev. Dennis Stanchik officiating. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Pisarski Funeral Home in Stevens Point from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2, and in the St. Faustina Room of the church from 9 a.m. Wednesday until the Mass. The Rosary Society of St. Peter Church and the Secular Order of St. Francis will combine to pray the rosary at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

A memorial in her name will be established at a later date.

Mrs. Krutza was born Jan. 31, 1924, in Stevens Point, a daughter
of the late Joseph and Eva (Bannach) Kaminski. She grew up on a farm in the town
of Linwood and attended John P. Simms School.

In 1941, she moved to Milwaukee and worked in a factory.

She was married to Raymond Stepaniak in 1949 at St.
Bartholomew Catholic Church in Mill Creek. He died in 1952.

She was married to Lawrence Krutza Nov. 3, 1956, at St.
Peter Catholic Church.

After the marriage, the couple settled in Stevens Point.

She worked as a waitress at the Congress Club and South
Point Restaurant. Then in 1964 she began as a cook at Washington Grade School
and later at Stevens Point Area Senior High School until her retirement in
1992.

She was a member of the St. Peter’s Rosary Society Rose 5
and the Secular Order of St. Francis, as well as St. Peter Parish.

Survivors include her husband, Lawrence; two children, Jerry
(Linda) Stepaniak, Wauwatosa, and Mark (Teri) Krutza, Stevens Point; and seven
grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Joan Wojcik;
four brothers; and four sisters.
