Glenis E. Hintz, 82, of the Town of Dewey, died Sunday, July 31, 2016, at home.

She was born on May 14, 1934, in Marathon County, to the late John and Elizabeth (Zick) Hoppa. On Feb. 23, 1952, her marriage to Frank Hintz took place at St. Mary Catholic Church in Torun. He died on June 3, 2007.

Glenis was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting, knitting, gardening, teaching her grandchildren to cook, playing cards and spending time with loved ones.

Survivors include her children, Linda (Bob) Fenske, Lad (Brenda) Hintz, Larry Hintz, Lori (Ray) Klaips and Elizabeth (William) Webb; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Glenis was preceded in death by a grandson, Zachary.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in her name.

The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2016, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Torun. The Rev. Jeffrey Hennes will officiate. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time for Mass.
