Free Haircuts Offered for Needy, Community at Salvation Army

Fantastic Sams will be offering free haircuts at the Salvation Army Hope Center on Aug. 9.
The haircuts will be offered first to residents of the Hope Center, located at 1600 Briggs St., beginning at 10 AM. Free haircuts will also be offered to community members on a first-come, first-serve basis beginning at 11 AM.
“It’s based on availability,” said Bob Quam, director of operations for the Salvation Army. “You never know if you’re going to get three or 30 people to show up.”
Cassandra Matthews, owner of Fantastic Sams, said, “[We] felt the time was right to help people in need and support our community.”
Hair stylists from Fantastic Sams, 1820 Plover Rd., will be at the Hope Center until 2 PM.
