Robert James Schultz, age 37, of Stevens Point, Wis. died August 1, 2016.

Rob was born May 16, 1979 to James & Susan (Wegenke) Schultz in Stevens Point. He attended Stevens Point Area Senior High and Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill. Rob earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point with a double major in Religious Studies and Philosophy.

For the past eight years, Rob owned and operated Point Yoga. He loved teaching and helping others. He especially loved being in God’s nature. When he was not helping others or being outdoors, Rob spent his time surrounded by music. He was a gifted trombonist who enjoyed drumming, dancing, and celebrating life.

Rob is survived by two children, Isaac (mother, Andrea Jackan) and Elliana (mother, Naomi Griffith); partner, Laura Venturino of Stevens Point; parents, Jim & Suzy Schultz of Stevens Point; brother, Ryan Schultz of Seattle; sister, Lora Schultz (Jason Klingberg) of Stevens Point; grandmothers, Diane Metcalf of Montello and Ruth Schultz of New Ulm, MN. Rob is further survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins, devoted yoga students, and many others who loved him dearly! Rob was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Wallace “Hunk” Wegenke, and Robert “Bob” Schultz.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 5, 2016 at Divine Word Evangelical Lutheran Church in Plover with Rev. Scott Wolfram officiating.

A time of visitation will precede the service from 9:00 AM until the time of the service. A light lunch will follow.

A celebration of Rob’s life will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Rob’s name in care of Jim & Suzy Schultz.

Online condolences may be made at www.bostonfuneralhome.net.
