Theresa Britz, 81, a former Junction City resident, died
Thursday, Aug. 4, 2016, at Atrium Post Acute Care in Wisconsin Rapids, where
she resided for the last 2-1/2 years.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday,
Aug. 20, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Milladore.


Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug.
20, until the Mass.


Higgins Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids assisted with
arrangements. Condolences may be offered online at www.HonorOne.com.


Mrs. Britz was born Dec. 20, 1934, in the town of Carson in Portage
County, a daughter of the late Joseph and Johanna (Zywicki) Eron. She attended
grades one through eight at Lieutenant Mallory School in the town of Carson.
She then attended St. Joseph Academy (vocational school) in Stevens Point for
two years until she turned 16.


She discontinued her studies to take care of her younger
brothers and sisters and to help on the family farm.


She was married to Anthony “Tony” Britz Oct. 15, 1955, at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Mill Creek. He died in June
2000.


She was a homemaker and a member of the Mill Creek Club of
HCE (Home Community Education) for nearly 50 years.


Survivors include five children, Rosie Britz, Mosinee, Sue
Britz, Junction City, and Pete (Dilly) Britz, Mary (Mark “Whitey”) Bushmaker
and Jim (Lyn) Britz, all of Rudolph; five siblings, Henry (Marie) Eron, Chester
(Caroline) Eron, Ceil Eron, Evy (Jerry) Suchowski and Betty Waltenberg; four
grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.


She was also preceded in death by three infant daughters; one
son, Joe; and two sisters, Agnes Schulist and Esther Flees.
