Eleanor Joyce Choudoir, 92, Plover, who preferred to be
called “Joyce,” died Monday, Aug. 8, 2016, at her home at The Lodge at
Whispering Pines.

In lieu of a public visitation or funeral service, a private
gathering of family and close friends will be held at a later date to celebrate
her life.

Shuda Funeral Homes & Crematory in Stevens Point and
Plover assisted with arrangements. Condolences may be offered online at
www.shudafuneral.com.

Mrs. Choudoir was born Aug. 19, 1923, in Fond du Lac, a daughter
of the late Ray and Betty Graf. She attended schools there before her family
moved to St. Paul, Minn., where she graduated from Marshall High School.

She was married to Warren Choudoir May 2, 1942, at St. Mary
Catholic Church in Appleton. He died in 1991.

They lived in Florida during his basic training after he
enlisted in the U.S. Army, and she moved back home with her parents in St. Paul
while he was stationed abroad during World War II.

After service, he resumed his career as a “telephone
transmission man” for American Telephone and Telegraph (AT&T) and they
lived in Appleton and Whitefish Bay before moving to Stevens Point in 1966.

Survivors include two sons, Richard (Linda) Choudoir,
Columbus, and Robert (Mary Jo) Choudoir, Polonia; three daughters, Cindy
Feldner, Plover, Wendy (Steve) Menzel, Stevens Point, and Mimi (Barry) Gardner,
New London; one brother, John (Ethel) Graf, St. Paul, Minn.; 11 grandchildren;
and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Cheri; and one
sister, Kathleen Johnson.
