Susan E. Kostuch
Susan Emily Kostuch, 67, Cataula, Ga., a former Portage
County resident and sister of two Portage County women, died from cancer Tuesday,
Aug. 9, 2016.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday,
Aug. 13, at St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Rosholt, with the Rev. Jeffery
Hennes officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be at the church from 1 to 1:45 p.m. Saturday.
Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or a local
cancer treatment facility in her name.

Mrs. Kostuch was born Nov. 9, 1948, in Waukesha, a daughter
of the late Clarence and Leona Stankowski. She attended Catholic Memorial High
School and received an undergraduate teaching degree from the University of
Wisconsin-Stout in 1970.
She was married to Henry Kostuch July 17, 1971, at St.
Adalbert Catholic Church in Rosholt.
They settled in Oconomowoc, where she began teaching in the
local school district.
She earned a Master of Art Education degree in curriculum development
from National Louis University in 1991 and in leadership from Marian University
in 1999.
She taught in Oconomowoc for more than 34 years prior to
retiring in 2004.
After retirement, they moved to Cataula, Ga., to be near
their eldest son and grandchildren.
Her retirement job was selling real estate for Keller
William in Columbus, Ga. She was busy in the local Newcomer’s and Dining In
Groups, along with being an active member of St. Anne
Catholic Parish in Columbus.
Survivors include her husband, Hank; two sons, Joseph
(Krista) Kostuch, Cataula, Ga., and Andrew Kostuch, Reston, Va.; two sisters,
Linda (Hank) Stanislawski, Rosholt, and Mary (Brian) Bleyer, Stevens Point; and
two granddaughters.
