For the City Times

As part of the Department of Corrections’ continuing efforts to increase recruitment and retention of uniformed security staff, DOC will be holding a number of recruitment events, which include immediate interviews, in counties throughout south-central Wisconsin.

These efforts are currently targeting Columbia Correctional Institution, Fox Lake Correctional Institution, and Waupun Correctional Institution as part of DOC’s statewide push to increase recruitment of correctional officers.

To apply for a correctional officer position, candidates can visit the state employment website at http://wisc.jobs, create a user account, and search announcement code 16-02248 to complete an application. Basic qualifications for correctional officers are available on the state employment website. Candidates can complete an application on the website and will receive a call to schedule an interview.

While application on the state employment website is preferable, candidates can stop at one of the locations below to ask questions, get help with the application process, and complete an immediate interview:

August 11, 8:00AM – 4:30PM, Oshkosh Job Center, 219 Washington Ave., Suite 107, Oshkosh
