Regina H. Beranek

Regina H. Beranek, 86, Milladore, a Stevens Point native and mother of a Stevens Point woman, died Thursday, Aug. 11, 2016, at Ministry St. Michael’s Hospital in Stevens Point.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Milladore, with the Rev. John Ofori-Domah officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be at Martens/Rembs Funeral Home in Junction City from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 15, and at the church from 10 a.m. Tuesday until the Mass.

Mrs. Beranek was born Sept. 27, 1929, in Stevens Point, a
daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Szymanski.
She was married to Joseph J. Beranek Nov. 23, 1953, at St.
Bartholomew Catholic Church in Mill Creek. He died June 11, 2015.
She and her husband operated a dairy farm.
Survivors include four daughters, Mary (Tom) Wahl, Eland,
Anne (Fred) Simons II, Stevens Point, Betty (Tom) Hoffman, Milladore, and
Theresa (Jim) Gibson, Pardeeville; one brother, Frank (Millie) Szymanski,
Stevens Point; four sisters-in-law, Bonnie Szymanski, Stevens Point, Audrey
Szymanski and Rosie Beranek, both of Rudolph, and Rita Esser, Arpin; nine
grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by five brothers, Stanley,
Walter, John, Tony and Joseph; and two sisters, Rose Kiran and Anna Sobczak.
