No Injuries in I-39 Rollover Crash

Traffic on I-39 was stalled for about an hour on Aug. 11 after a one-vehicle accident blocked both lanes of traffic.
A four-door pickup truck, hauling a travel trailer, rolled over while traveling north during lunch time traffic. Capt. J.B. Moody from the Stevens Point Fire Dept. said the accident occurred near mile marker 161.
“No injuries- they were both very lucky,” Moody said of the vehicle’s occupants. He added traffic on the highway was rerouted on a nearby exit.
Moody said the 911 call came in at 12:16 PM. All of Metro Fire — comprised of Hull, Plover and Stevens Point departments — responded, he said, along with Portage Co. Sheriff’s Office, Stevens Point Police, Portage Co. EMS and Johnson’s Towing.
