Sadie V. Walkush, 88, Bevent, a town of Dewey native and the
mother of three Portage County residents, died at her home Sunday, Aug. 14,
2016.


Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 18, at
Beste Funeral Home in Mosinee, with Sister Mary Ellen officiating. Burial will
be in Peaceful Rest Cemetery in the town of Bevent.


Visitation will be at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. Thursday
until the services.

Mrs. Walkush was born Nov. 15, 1927, in the town of Dewey, a
daughter of the late John and Mary (Danczyk) Kurzynski.


She was married to George Walkush April 27, 1953, at St.
Casmir Catholic Church in the town of Hull. He died July 15, 1988.


She and her husband operated a dairy farm.


Survivors include two sons, George Walkush Jr. and John
Walkush, both of Rosholt; two daughters, Pauline (Myron) Wierzba, Hatley, and
Susan (Patrick) Domaszek, Amherst Junction; nine grandchildren; and 22
great-grandchildren.


She was also preceded in death by one daughter; three
brothers, Alex, Ben and Erwin Kurzynski; two stepbrothers, Tony and Casimir
Kurzynski; and one sister, Martha Lesniak.
