Virginia ‘Virg’ Lepak

Virginia “Virg” Lepak, 77, Shantytown, died Monday, Aug. 15,
2016, at Wausau Aspirus Hospital in Wausau.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday,
Aug. 19, at St. Ladislaus Catholic Church in Bevent, with the Rev. Augustine
Bentil officiating.


Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. Friday until
the Mass.


Shuda Funeral Homes & Crematory in Stevens Point and
Plover assisted with arrangements. Condolences may be offered online www.shudafuneral.com.


Mrs. Lepak was born May 9, 1939, in Shantytown, a daughter
of the late Leo and Lillian (Zick) Hoppa. She attended Polk Elementary School, spent
two years at St. Ladislaus High School and graduated from Rosholt High School
in 1957.


She moved to Milwaukee and worked at Briggs & Stratton
for 10 years.


She was married to Maynard Lepak Nov. 26, 1960, at St.
Ladislaus Catholic Church in Bevent.


The couple settled in Milwaukee, before moving to New Berlin
in 1963.


She became a cosmetologist in the mid-1970s and worked as a
beautician the rest of her life.


In 1980 the family moved to Muskego and lived there until
moving to Shantytown in 2010.


Survivors include her husband, Maynard; three children,
Randy (Mary) Lepak, Muskego, Cindy Krause, Beaver Dam, and Daryl (Kris) Lepak,
Delafield; seven brothers and sisters, Florence Pukrop, Shantytown, Gilbert “Gibby”
Hoppa, Bevent, Sylvia Pukrop, Stevens Point, Jeannette Bembenek, Shantytown,
Leo Hoppa Jr., Shantytown, Eileen (Lester) DeMeyer, Plover, and Diane (Bob)
Ganski, Stevens Point; and six grandchildren.


She was also preceded in death by six brothers and sisters.
