LaVonne Stuettgen, 69, Stevens Point, died Monday, Aug. 22,
2016, at her home after a battle with cancer. She was under the care of
Ministry Hospice.


A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday,
Aug. 27, at the Shuda Funeral Chapel – Stevens Point.


Visitation will be at the funeral chapel from 10 a.m.
Saturday until the service.


Donations may be made in her name to Ministry Hospice.

Mrs. Stuettgen was born Sept. 18, 1946, in Willow Lake, S.D.,
a daughter of the late Laverne and Carolyn (Carlson) Donley. She attended
school in Vienna S.D., Auburn, Wash., and graduated from high school in
Germantown, Wis., where she was valedictorian of her class.


She was married to Robert Stuettgen Jan. 25, 1964, at Good
Shepherd Church in Menomonee Falls.


The couple moved to Stevens Point in 1995 after her husband
retired as a sheet metal worker.


She worked at Rice Clinic in the Medical Records Department
until her retirement in 1998.


Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Robert; two children,
Kimberly (Duane) Stuettgen-Larson, Prairie Du Sac, and Bryan (Jami) Stuettgen,
Stevens Point; one daughter-in-law, Lorie Stuettgen, Prairie Du Sac; one sister,
Patricia Donley, Milwaukee; three brothers, Larry (Dee) Donley, Menomonee Falls,
Jerry (Glenda) Donley, Oklahoma City, Okla., and Richard “Dick” (Susan) Donley,
Bryant, S.D.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandson.


She was also preceded in death by one son, James; and one sister,
Carol.
