Aug. 19

Disorderly Conduct: Police were called to a home on the 2600 block of Stanley St. after a caller reported an unwanted male causing a disturbance at 1:38 AM.

Busted Window: Police arrested a 34-year-old at 3:42 AM after he reportedly damaged a window and an ottoman on the 1500 block of Wyatt Ave. Estimated value of damage is $300.

Go To Bed Already: Deputies were called for a home on the 1900 block of Second St. at 5:38 AM after a caller reported loud arguing between two women, 48 and 27, and a 53-year-old man. The parties all agreed to go to bed for the night after speaking to law enforcement.

Fire: Emergency crews responded to a fire on the 7000 block of Wiczek Rd. at 7:31 AM. A cat perished in the fire, but there where no human injuries reported.

He Tried To Get Away: Deputies arrested a 31-year-old man who attempted to elude officers during a traffic stop. The man was cited for operating after suspension at 10:02 AM.

Assault: Police were called to the corner of Fremont St. and Sims Ave. at 12:28 PM after a caller reported an assault against a 58-year-old woman.

Pay Attention To The Road: A 56-year-old man was cited for inattentive driving on Hwy 66 at 2:54 PM.

Landlord V Tenant’s Guest: Police responded to a home on the 1000 block of Minnesota Ave. after a caller reported a “civil dispute” between a landlord and a guest of a tenant there at 3:45 PM.

Injury to Child: A 40-year-old woman called police at 5:57 PM to report her six-year-old daughter had been injured while at the Boys and Girls Club. No further information was immediately available.

Aug. 20

Fight: Police were called when a 21-year-old woman and 23-year-old man were fighting on the corner of Main and Second streets at 1:29 AM.

Harassment: A 49-year-old man was cited for disorderly conduct after a caller reported the man was being loud and abusive on the 100 block of Division St. at 1:50 AM.

Grow Up Already: Police responded to the corner of Main and Second streets after a caller reported a fight on the Downtown Square between two men, 28 and 40, at 3:06 AM.

Tire Thief: An employee of Schierl Tire & Service Center, 3425 Main St., called police after a 20-year-old man left the business without paying for a $30 Michelin tire.

Darn Kids: A 32-year-old woman called police at 6:50 PM to report a group of kids were trespassing on her property, swearing and causing a disturbance.

Attempted Sale: A 36-year-old woman called police to report someone was trying to sell her car without her permission at 7 PM.

Fightin’ Over a Girl: Police were called to a home on the 2100 block of Patch St. after a caller reported two men, 18 and 27, had a disagreement over a 19-year-old woman one of them was dating at 10:39 PM.

Aug. 21

Turn On Your Lights: Police stopped a 25-year-old female driver for driving without her lights on near Second and Main streets at 1:57 AM. The woman was also cited for her first OWI.

After-Hours Shenanigans: Deputies warned three men, ages 21, 28 and 29, for parking in a Main St. park after hours at 2:37 AM.

Truck Vandal: A 29-year-old man called police to report someone had vandalized the 1977 Chevy he was driving — which belonged to his mother — with paint at 8:30 AM on the 4900 block of Main Street.

Shots Fired: A caller reported the sound of gunshots on the 100 block of Grand Ave. in Rosholt at 11 AM. Deputies could not locate the source of the sound.

Big Tough Guy: An employee of a gas station on the 2700 block of Stanley St. reported at 5:54 PM that an unknown person punched two holes in a shed on the company’s property. Estimated value of the damage was not immediately known.

Disturbance: Deputies arrested a 29-year-old man for disorderly conduct at 9:13 PM from a home on the 1500 block of Torun Road.
