Panthers Sweep Volleyball Invitational

The Stevens Point Area Senior High Panthers kicked off the 2016 volleyball season sweeping finishing 5-0 at the Panther Invitational held Tuesday, at the SPASH Fieldhouse.
The Panthers defeated NEW Lutheran 25-18, 25-11; Berlin 25-16, 25-14; West Salem 25-23, 25-13; Wisconsin Rapids 25-10, 25-11; and Wittenberg-Birnamwood 26-24, 25-18 to finish the day 10-0.
Individual Statistics: Assists – Ally Miklesh, 68; Digs – Kayla Lass, 39; Kills Madeleine Burch, 33 and Kayla Lass, 32; Hitting Percentage – Lexi Iwanski, .326; Block Assists – Madeleine Burch, 8; Aces Madeleine Burch, 10.
The Panthers return to action Thursday, Aug. 25 and Friday, Aug. 26 when they travel to the Just A Game Arena in the Wisconsin Dells for a multi-team tournament.
