Panthers Sweep Tennis Quad

The Stevens Point Area Senior High Girls Tennis team played host to Manitowoc Roncalli, Rhinelander and Wisconsin Rapids in a quadrangular at the SPASH courts Thursday, Aug. 25.
The Panther girls defeated Roncalli 7-0, Rhinelander 7-0 and Rapids 6-1.
Playing number one singles for SPASH, Emily Luetwchwager finished the day undefeated with wins over Rhinelander’s Ivy Packard (6-0,6-0), Rapid’s Hannah Wangen (6-0, 6-0), and Roncalli’s Maya Ledvina (6-0, 6-0).
Suzie DeBot and Madison DeBot teamed up at Number 1 Doubles to sweep their matches with a 7-6, 6-3 win over Rapid’s Kaitlyn Hess and McKenzie Wentland, 6-3, 6-1 over Rhinelander’s Ali Schickert and Erica Counter, and 6-0, 6-2 over Roncalli’s Nicole Froelich and Paulina Vaca.
SPASH returns to action Thursday, September 1st when the travel to Wausau West for a 4 PM match.
