No Injuries in Two-Vehicle Accident Near Jr. High

Police say there were no injuries after a two-vehicle accident at the corner of Polk and Water streets on Tuesday afternoon.
Stevens Point police and Portage Co. EMS crews were called to the scene, which is near Ben Franklin Jr. High, at 2:34 PM after a left-turning vehicle failed to yield to oncoming traffic, resulting in a front-end collision.
Both vehicles were later towed.
Corp. Joe Johnson said one motorist was cited for failure to yield. Police on the scene had one lane of southbound traffic closed for less than an hour.
