flagTimothy R. “Tim” Manthe, age 58 of Stevens Point, passed away at his home in his sleep on Sunday August 28, 2016.

He was born October 15, 1958 in Milwaukee, Wis. He is the son of Barbara Paszkiewicz and the late Thomas R. Manthe.

Tim served his country in the U.S. Army and was a disabled veteran. His marriage to Stefani A. Lessila took place on July 8, 1983 in Milwaukee, WI. She survives.

He worked at A.O. Smith in Milwaukee and at Basic American Foods in Plover. In his younger days he was an enthusiastic golfer, an awarded dart player and avid hunter and ice fisherman.

He enjoyed rooting for the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau field and at home with family and friends. He enjoyed fishing, movie nights, traveling, attending concerts and plays and listening to music. Tim was a proud father and Papa and loved playing for hours with his two grandchildren Levi and Ellie.

Survivors include his wife: Stefani A. Manthe of Stevens Point. His children: Brooke (Carl) Siddell of Windsor, Ashley (Kyle) Wiza of Plover & Timmy J. Manthe of Stevens Point. Grandchildren: Levi & Ellie. His mother: Barb Paszkiewicz of Florida, stepfather: Urlando “Pops” Ventura of Oshkosh, sister: Lori Ventura of Vermont, brothers: Thom (Lonna) Manthe of Stone Lake, Todd Manthe of Oshkosh, Trent (Mary Beth) Ventura of Oshkosh, Kelly Manthe of Milwaukee & John Manthe of Lady Smith. Friends: Jim (Bonny) Douglas & Mary (Jerry) Caswell. He is also survived by many other loving family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his angel infant daughter; father, Thomas Manthe, stepfather, Ralph Paszkiewicz; father- and mother-in-law, Eddie & Gail Dickert and friend, Peter Boris.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday Sept. 1, 2016 at the Pisarski Funeral Home at 703 Second St. in Stevens Point.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 9:00 AM until the time of services Thursday morning at the funeral home.

Private family burial will take place at a later date at the Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King, Wis.
