William G. “Will” Vogt, 81, Plover, died Friday, Sept. 2, 2016.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, at Divine Word Lutheran Church in Plover, with Pastor Scott Wolfram officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Amherst.

Visitation will be at the Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, and at the church from 10 a.m. Thursday until the service.

Mr. Vogt was born May 4, 1935, in Amherst, a son of the late
William and Dora (Rosin) Vogt. He graduated from Amherst High School in 1952.

After graduating, he enlisted with the U.S. Marines and was
honorably discharged.

He was married to Virginia Podeszwa June 14, 1958, in
Chicago, Ill.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia Vogt, Plover; five children,
Bill (Sarah) Vogt, Waupaca, Tamarie (David) Juve, Wisconsin Rapids, Debra Wilde,
Green Lake, Bruce (Laurie) Vogt, Round Lake, Ill., and Brian (Anne) Vogt; Custer;
14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Lillian,
Eleanor and Dorothy.
