Cynthia L. “Cindy” Omernik, 60, Custer, died unexpectedly of
heart failure Saturday, Sept. 3, 2016, at Ministry St. Joseph’s Hospital in
Marshfield.

Per her wishes, a private family service and burial will be
held at a later date.

Mrs. Omernik was born Dec. 20, 1955, in Stevens Point, a
daughter of Julian and Romaine (Sankey) Wierzba.

She was married to Roger Omernik Feb. 20, 1982.

She worked most recently as head cook at the Rosholt School
District and worked most of her life in food service, cooking for weddings.

Survivors include her husband; her parents; two sisters, Marcie
(Tim) Pagel and Julie (Randy) Riebe; two brothers, Randy (JoLynn) Wierzba and
Gary (Angela) Wierzba; one stepdaughter, Donna (Rick) Nelson; and three
stepgrandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one sister, Jennie; and one
stepdaughter, Tammy.
