June Glienke, 98, Stevens Point, died Sunday, Sept. 4, 2016. She was a resident at Wellington Place in Stevens Point.

Visitation will be at 1p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13, followed by a short service at Heritage Funeral Home in Milwaukee. Burial will be at Wisconsin Memorial Cemetery in Milwaukee.

Mrs. Glienke was born Elizabeth June Gilbert on June 1, 1918,
in Palmyra.

As a young woman she worked at Northwestern Mutual LifeInsurance
in Milwaukee.

She was married to Edward Glienke July 3, 1948. He preceded
her in death.

She was longtime member of United Methodist Church of West
Allis.

She was a member of card clubs and the church circle and
worked as a voter volunteer.

She lived in Milwaukee until moving to Stevens Point to be
closer to family.

Survivors include one son, Paul (Kristin) Glienke, Plover;
one daughter, Joyce (John) Marlier, San Luis Obispo, Calif.; one
daughter-in-law, Susan Glienke, Poughkeepsie, N.Y.;and six grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her youngest son, Philip.
