Sharron Lee Zimmerman, 81, Plover, died Thursday, Aug. 25,
2016, at the Portage County Health Care Center.


Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, at
the Pisarski Community Funeral Home in Plover. Burial will beat 11 a.m. Sunday,
Sept. 18, at the Warrens Mills Cemetery in Warrens.


Visitation will be at the funeral home from 9 a.m. Saturday,
Sept. 17, until the services.


The family has established a memorial fund in her name at
Community First Bank in Stevens Point.

Mrs. Zimmerman was born Jan. 7, 1935, in Chicago, Ill., a
daughter of the late John and Alice Van Da Walker.


She was married to Jerald D. Zimmerman Sr. Oct. 13, 1951. He
preceded her in death.


She worked as a court-appointed genealogist, locating and
documenting legal heirs.


She was a member of numerous genealogical societies and
helped the community of Arnott prepare for itscentennial. She also authored the
addendum to “The History of Portage County.”


Survivors include four sons, Jerald Jr., Amherst, Richard
(Donna), Stevens Point, Timothy (Megan), Stevens Point, and Brian (Veronica),
Almond; one daughter, Victoria (David), Almond; three sisters, Joan Reece,
Lillian (David) McCray, Kathy (David) Waters; one brother, William (Penny) Van Da
Walker; 19 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.


She was also preceded in death by one son, Gary; and one brother,
John Van Da Walker.
