LETTER: Trump Crass, Egotistical and Uninformed

To the Editor-
In my lifetime, both the Democrats and Republicans have nominated presidential candidates who could actually do the job. We all had our preferences, and some years we won and other years lost.
This year is different. Never before have so many states people and high-level representatives of a party publicly stated that they could not support their party’s nominee. No wonder. How did such a misogynistic, crass, egotistical and uninformed person become the Republican party’s nominee?
It’s unbelievable that anyone who is actually paying attention could support him. The only way he can be controlled by his handlers is when he stays on script on the teleprompter. When he gets distracted and spouts his own personal beliefs, it is nothing short of terrifying.
His mocking of the reporter with a disability, name-calling of his primary opponents and “unattractive” women, his lack of appreciation of the sacrifices of veterans and their families (John McCain and the Kahn family), his cheating of business associates by not paying them and thus driving many of them out of business, his misleading hopeful students and taking their money at the so-called Trump University, his loans from the Bank of China and ties with Putin cronies all should give thoughtful voters reason to pause.
Does he really represent the best of America? I don’t think so and hope that you agree. Vote for Hillary Clinton on November 8th.
